The website that supports community enterprise with great ideas

Leaps and Bounds is an organisation which backs Community Enterprise ideas to deliver sustainable community regeneration. Communities in Britain are alive with great ideas and vision, whether in education, sport, the arts or environmental projects. Sometimes though, it can be difficult to get ideas off the ground. As an individual or small organisation, funding can be difficult to find, time is short and administration requires a lot of skill and expertise.

About Leaps and Bounds

Leaps and Bounds is an organisation dedicated to supporting community enterprise. We support in two ways:

* We provide financial assistance to community businesses, voluntary organisations or individual entreprenuers, who are making a stunning impact on their communities, usually on very limited resources.

* We provide or arrange low-cost professional services to help get vital community projects off the ground. The range of services are explained in the About Us section of this website.

We have a clear philosophy about how community projects are developed and managed. We believe that the only projects that achieve durable success are those imagined, owned and executed by members of the community themselves, not by government, quango's, councils or whatever else. We support community entreprenuers.

Leaps and Bounds was founded by Henry Woodlock. The About Us section outlines our philosophy in more detail and explains the concept of community enterprise which we support.

About Us also explains the services that Leaps and Bounds can offer. Every project and every organisation is different. Some services may be applicable to your ideas or project, others will not be. Services can be selected to suit every situation.

The success of Leaps and Bounds is built on investing in the ability of community entrepreneurs to deliver change and regeneration better than any other method.
